Programs

Overview

The Nat Moore Foundation supports many programs within the South Florida community focusing on disadvantaged youth and struggling non-for-profit organizations. With the help of generous donors over the years, the Nat Moore Foundation has not only helped disadvantaged youth attend college, but have helped organizations such as Dade Amateur Golf Association (DAGA), Boy Scouts of South Florida, and the Florida Christian Association of America (FCAA) achieve their goals by providing youth services in the community.

Below is a list of programs the Nat Moore Foundation has provided financial services for:

Urban Scholarship Program

The Nat Moore Foundation is dedicated to providing educational, cultural and recreational activities to disadvantaged youth, aged 5 to 18. The primary focus is the creation of a better community for young people in South Florida by providing safe, wholesome and positive learning environments where they can build the tools and knowledge necessary for success.

Through the Nat Moore Foundation Urban Scholars Program, we award $10,000 scholarships ($2,500 per year for 4 years) to extraordinary disadvantaged high school seniors from South Florida. No restrictions are placed on the student’s choice of school or discipline of study. However, the student must come from a low income or disadvantaged family and must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Since 1998, the program has awarded forty one (41) scholarships, with scholars studying at colleges and universities across the United States.

THE DEADLINE FOR ALL APPLICATIONS IS MAY 1ST of each year!

All interested high school seniors are encouraged to mail a completed copy of the application and all required items to:

Grant Program

For the past 10 years, The Nat Moore Foundation has accepted grant applications from those organizations whose missions and/or programs are parallel to the foundation’s mission.

The Foundation’s mission to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged Miami-Dade County youth and communities by focusing on education, sports development, and health necessities. Former Miami Dolphin, Nat Moore, founded The Nat Moore Foundation as a means to give back to the South Florida communities that supported him throughout his career.

Each year the foundation awards grants to assist non-profit organizations that seek to uplift and enrich the lives of South Florida youth within their mission, goals, and objectives.
